Biography

Barry Landers, long time radio voice of the New York Islanders and play by play voice of college and high school sports on Sports Channel and Cablevision of Long Island.  Currently, he heads his own TV sports production company, Landers Sports Productions.

Landers Sports Productions currently produces a high school sports series featuring the best football and basketball teams from the tri-state area for the YES Network.  The YES Network, which carries the Nets and Yankees games, is seen in over 5 million homes in the tri-state area.

Barry and Landers Sports also produces a high school sports series that can be seen here at Long Island on Telecare, Channel 31, the TV station of the Diocese of Rockville Center.  Landers Sports produces a variety of sports from football to basketball to lacrosse, showcasing the best public and parochial school athletes on Long Island.  The series is seen in over 800,000 homes on Cabelvision of Long Island.

Barry was a long time sportscaster on WCBS Radio in New York and has covered six Olympics for ABC Radio and Westwood One Radio Network.  Barry has been Master of Ceremonies for the Hall of Fame since itsí founding.  He is also one of the original founders.

Barry is active in many charitable activities, including The National Center for Disabilities.
